Whenever I wear a shirt with text on it my dad squints at me judgementally and reads it out loud like a rural 5th grader's first encounter with Shakespeare, and a snide "what's *that* supposed to mean?"

Dad is struggling to come up with a gender neutral excuse to make me wrap his birthday/Christmas presents for mom.
Today's excuse was "You know my eyes aren't good no more."
To which I responded "Neither are Mom's, so you'll be fine. Scissors and tape are above the washer."
He did not like that.
