It’s really hard to describe to people who are not artists how survival mode does *not* inspire creativity, as the myth would have us believe. It suppresses creativity as you try to limit every possible risk – and the opportunities that come with them.

It's one of the worst feelings in the world to ask love and acceptance of people who should want to give it openly and be told that's too big an ask. It's a choice that may haunt them later, but in the meantime I hope you find/continue to find those things all around you. It's not too much to ask.
