Hey @abcnewsaustralia.bsky.social your ‘report’ on illicit cigarettes in #fremantle was wildly misleading. A few extra convenience stores haven’t destroyed the city. To suggest that Freo needs to ‘restore its charm’ is ludicrous - a shallow, offensive comment. @fremantle-council.bsky.social

SEN. KELLY : “They informed me of this in a tweet because this is not about the law. This is about the media cycle, and intimidation… We basically repeated the uniform code of military justice, and they're saying that's in violation of it. It's absurd. Comical.”

For Trump the presidency was a way to stay out of prison, but for all the toadies who chose to follow him into this criminal enterprise it may be quite the opposite. I do, in my optimistic moments, dream of the coming ‘Nuremberg’ trials of 2029.

Does our gas decarbonise other countries? Woodside asked the CSIRO to investigate in 2019 and they said that gas was of no help, or even hindered the uptake of renewable energy unless the countries buying Woodside’s gas had a high carbon price. None of them do. www.boilingcold.com.au/wa-labor-vet...
WA Labor veteran slams “baseless" claims that gas is good for the climate
Woodside and other exporters have a "shocking record" of not providing evidence that gas helps reduce carbon emissions, according to Chris Tallentire.

A government’s spending choices reveal what it values.
“CSIRO has announced it will slash up to 350 jobs as the national science agency grapples with long-term financial challenges … with current funding failing to keep pace with the rising costs of running a modern science agency.”

Not “challenges”. They’re choices. 😡
CSIRO to cut up to 350 research jobs in major overhaul
After 440 positions were slashed last year, the CSIRO has announced more staff cuts across the country in a bid to remain financially viable.
