🚨Winston Churchill at the Hague Congress in 1948:

"In the centre of our movement stands the idea of a Charter of Human Rights, guarded by freedom and sustained by law".

This meeting was crucial in shaping the ECHR.

Maybe it is time to listen to those who faced down fascism.

We flounced out of the EU on the say-so of politicians who lied to us. And what a total shitshow that’s turned out to be. The polar opposite of what they promised. Not sure why the govt & media present ID cards almost entirely in the context of migration, on which it will have only a marginal effect.

Rather, it’s a practical way for all of us to prove our identity when we need to, without pfaffing around with multiple cards and documents
