@ivanthek.bsky.social This president’s direct to the world statements with the silly US Flag face tough guy image is Iran the big threat for nuclear response? Just wondering what would happen if Denmark or Canada or Panama said…it’s time to waste billions and develop a nuclear arsenal?

@phillipspobrien.bsky.social shares an interesting article and release from the US Secretary of State, substack.com/home/post/p-.... I can't help but wonder what the wording will be like on July 1, 2025, for "Canada 🇨🇦Day". We live in the most unusual of times, or is it Orwellian times? #newspeak

@stevenbeschloss.bsky.social wrote, Trump’s directive yesterday stated, “To the extent that protests or acts of violence directly inhibit the execution of the laws, they constitute a form of rebellion against the authority of the Government of the United States.” Any thoughts re Jan 2020?

“Tom Fletcher, the UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, told BBC Radio that there are “14,000 babies that will die in the next 48 hours unless we can reach them.” Speaking of the need for humanitarian relief in Gaza to prevent further genocide. Save the children, feed the children.

#no2AlbertaSuccession “Smith has said she doesn’t endorse separating from Canada, but separatists should not be demonized for their frustration with Ottawa.” It is not demonizing to say that you deeply disagree and see the entire conversation as wrong minded. A waste of time and money.

#Albertans wondering if Alberta "separates" from Canada, are you thinking we are a "standalone" nation, or were you thinking you'd "apply" to join, say the USA, as a "state" like Alberta would be the 51st? Think you aren't heard now...try being Louisiana? 2 Senators and 6 of 435 reps in Congress.

It's unlikely he has read this, given his statements that he doesn't read books. Yet, given his speech patterns and frequency of certified falsehoods uttered over the past decade-plus, he understands this principle very well. Don't repeat even part of a lie. #TelltheTruth #CalloutFalsehoods

1989 Stephen R Covey wrote, "Our perceptions can be vastly different. And yet we both have lived with our paradigms for years, thinking they are 'facts,' and questioning the character or the mental competence of anyone who can’t “see the facts.” I still have work to do understanding many paradigms.

During his mortal ministry, Matthew recorded Jesus Christ speaking of the importance of "becoming as a little child." He taught the importance of humility, trust, love, forgiveness..." Of note, he was not talking about little child behaviours like pitching a fit when I don't get my way...😂.

I feel like it’s very important to support this statement from representatives of Nations in Canada. It is also important as a descendant of settlers in Alberta, Canada that any talk of separation is indefensible. Do not waste time or money on political games.

FWIW Mr. Trump et al "You keep using that word 'antisemitism.' I do not think it means what you think it means." Criticizing military actions ≠ hating Jewish people. In a democracy, we must be able to discuss policy without false accusations. Let's talk with clarity, respect, and honesty. #opentalk

In a world increasingly filled with people who claim to be leaders, nationally and internationally, applying dehumanizing labels to members of mankind, striving to make others “less than” - even alien to mankind, the best cure is actually knowing “others”. 💙📚 #greatread @peterbeinart.bsky.social

Not directly going to the source but a pretty good dramatic rendition to review - youtu.be/uDJTRC6LIOk?... (10 min mark on) Individually, we must examine our core virtues, which should be readily identifiable by those who truly know us. Empathy is a strength, a skill in leadership and life for all.

As I read this, what looks like an internal memo, it demonstrates what true leadership and collaboration looks and feels it should in sharp contrast to what one regularly observes from the VP, Defense Secretary, etc. International teams, all teams really work best following Col Meyer's model. IMO.
Former commander of Pituffik Susan Meyers must have known that she would be fired for this.

But apparently she found there are bigger considerations at stake than keeping her command.

Question is if we'll see more of this sort in coming months?

Berlingske has obtained her leaked email

When can the families of those wrongfully sent, keep in mind some were teenagers, expect to have their family members returned to them? Having been on the planet for 66 years, I recall America (and Canada) being appalled by Central and South American strong-arm nations disappearing people.
