This is really, really bad. They shouldn't be deploying the Marines, and doing so without clear orders is incomprehensible.
Plus this part does not inspire confidence:

CNN: We have breaking news now from the Pentagon. CNN can now report that roughly 500 Marines are being mobilized in response to the protests in Los Angeles.
