Our rigged system in a nutshell.

When the rich become richer, they can use their vast wealth to pour money into our democracy and rig the system to enrich themselves even more.

We must get Big Money out of politics.

This is all so blatant and yet the media refuses to report on this traitorous President as he is
To be clear, the U.S. is leveling punishing tariffs on its allies while discussing easing sanctions on Russia.

This is insane!!!
Worth stating simply what’s happening. An American government is launching a full-scope political & economic assault on an ally repelling an ongoing invasion to compel them to terminate martial law, topple their president, hand over minerals to America & accept a ceasefire w/out security guarantees.

When trying to be out there first to be seen giving credit before understanding or seeing how this would be implemented then backtracking less then 60 days later is crazy... but kinda sums up mainstream media
here’s the thing: why wouldn’t you treat every dumbass idea as potentially worthwhile when a month later you can just go “oopsies” and no one holds you accountable for giving credence to stupid shit?

Funny how those in right-wing media spun endless conspiracy webs about Biden being “compromised” over Hunter’s business deals, yet Elon Musk — swimming in foreign ties, gov't contracts, and so much more — gets a free pass. Did they all suddenly run out of red string?

This... it's soon disheartening
Said it before, will say it again: “woke” has lost all meaning. It’s a catch-all for whatever conservatives don’t like, and when we debate if it’s harmful politically, we’re letting them define the terms of the debate, instead of doing what’s right and standing up for the minorities they attack.
I asked James Carville, a frequent critic of "wokeness," if Democrats should defend trans people. The exchange got pretty intense.

Carville concedes that John Fetterman got the language right in defending Sarah McBride.

People may be ditching the news, but it’s not because of the results of the election. It’s because people are sick and tired of corporate media covering Joe Biden’s choice of footwear with more zeal than Donald Trump’s threat to democracy.
The latest news? Not right now, thanks.
Some people disappointed in Donald Trump’s win are quitting the news entirely.

This is really sticking it to the elites. Cut programs for middle- and low-income Americans to finance tax cuts for the wealthy. Good work, Trump voters! You're showing the powers-that-be who's boss around here.
NEW: GOP lawmakers, Trump allies look at changes to Medicaid, food stamps to offset cost of tax bill

Including work requirements, benefit formula changes, new eligibility restrictions

Tax bill could cost $3-5 trillion

I will never understand how a billionaire, the richest man on Earth, spent millions to buy an election for ANOTHER billionaire, and told us that his policies would cause all of us non-billionaires “temporary hardship...”

...and the public didn't tell BOTH OF THEM to fuck off.

I'm going to start working on this, and will add to it as more major media outlets join Bluesky.

I expect the pace to pick up very soon and very significantly.

Major media has let us down significantly over the last ten years, but it's still vital to know what's being reported. go.bsky.app/2JyEju6
