Warm Magic
This is a preparation of a different order, almost wholly physical and in some ways magical. It was originated by the tamous healer and hydrotherapist Father Sebastin Kneipp, who by using water in varied and ingenious ways brought his patients back to health. I have tried this unusual, sleep-inviting method, and so have many of my friends. I know of nothing quite comparable to it.
Make everything ready for the night: windows, lights and extra warm blankets on the bed. Take a comfortable bath or shower. Then, without drying yourself, put a towel around your neck or put on your nightgown or pajama and run quickly, wet as you are, to bed. Switch off your…

… light as you go because, once you are in bed, it is very important to cover yourself completely: pull the blankets tightly around your neck, wrap yourself as in a cocoon, close and tight, with no air between your skin and the
covers.
Won't the bed be wet and uncomfortable? you ask.
Won't I catch cold?
Not at all. Both you and the bed will be dry in a very short time, although, in all probability, you will be asleep before that happens. The feeling coming from this is extraordinarily deep and soft and warm.
Physiologically, there is no great mystery about this method. We sleep when we are warm, and the circulation rises quickly to the skin to warm and dry it when it is wet.

I never found it very helpful, but (and I know how paranoid this sounds) it seems as if Duck Duck Go and Google also have tight perimeters around what can be seen in a search. I use no filters, but searches often seem to leave out things damning to the Regime. Like Rev. David Black’s experiences.

I want to be believe this. But I was a teenager when the kids at Kent State were murdered. I saw it on the news with my dad. He had no sympathy. He felt they deserved it for being lawless and wild and for protesting. This man I loved who had never been less than kind & gentle, justifying that.
