Little Sprite Update: Wallbonking is now a thing! With this function out of the way, I play to redraw the main characters sprites. (Although, now that i think of it, I need to also figure out damage recoil🙃) Full write up on the wallbonk functionality below ⬇️

When making the character I was inspired by many things, but one of my core inspirations was the concept art for Sonic Mania. They made sonic, tails, and knuckles looks so cute and expressive in these images!

When making new mechanics for my game I sketch what my character is doing, but this time I wanted to make something cleaner. This is the protag of my game. I don't have a name for her yet, so I call her Little Sprite. This is what I want her to look like when she looks up.

I recently got into making #mead! 🍺 I'll mostly post #gamedev stuff here, but I'll occasionally post how the mead is brewing. The other day, a bunch of it overflowed out the top! I was not ready for my office to smell like bread 😀 Should be ready to drink in 25 days.

Here's a sketch of the next mechanic I'm planning to implement (Hopefully, I've been distracted lately)! When the player dashes into a wall, the player will bounce off the wall and get stunned. I'm thinking if the player mashes jump, they can get out of this stun state early. #Gamedev #indiedev

For #ScreenshotNotSaturday I have a new subtle mechanic to make my platformer a bit better. When the player faces right or left, the camera will now pan to show off more of the stage. I have details on how this works down in the comments below!⬇️ #indiedev #gamedev #GodotEngine

Before implementing mechanics into "Little Sprite", I sketch the mechanic out before making the pixel art and programing. This sketch shows off Little Sprite's dash and tumble ability. She can momentarily use her broom to crash into enemies, and bounce off of them. #indiedev #gamedev 🖍️
