The new world we want to make is already here: in the little actions we take today, in the ways we show up for each other, in the grass that still grows. Hope is not a prize that can be taken from us. Hope is a practice, an act of resistance, a spark that refuses to die. Keep fighting.

I love this poem. I learned it by heart during a trip to America in 2022. Thinking about it a lot this morning

The Mr. Rogers advice for moments of crisis is a useful thing to remember right now.

Look for the helpers.

Look for the people organizing to protect the most vulnerable.

Look for the people who have been concretely planning for how to respond, and are ready to implement.

Join them, if you can.

You. Yes you. Stop scrolling. Listen to me for a second.

You're going to be okay. Tomorrow's another day and no matter what happens, the best thing you can do is keep on going.

The world is better because you're in it and don't let ANYONE tell you otherwise.

Though it is something impossible to believe right now, we must survive. Life will still exist in 4 years, and those 4 years will be some of the most uncertainty we will ever feel. And I will never know the whole picture of it, and that kills me inside. But I see you. I love you. Please keep going.
