The reason (and it’s a deeply sad one but it’s important so listen) is that the majority of people in the world (and the vast majority of wealthy ones) believe that being in debt is a *moral failing*, and that people in debt should have to suffer for their transgressions.
I physically do not understand how someone can be worth more than 10 million dollars and not do SOMETHING like this yearly.
