Of course, we know the figures for Real GDP without government consumption and investment (GDPxG). It's line 11 of NIPA Table 1.17.6. Here is the growth of GDP vs. GDPxG. I don't see a very clear distinction between the growth of the two, especially over the past 8 years.

A @nytimes.com op-ed by Ben Harris & me.

When financial markets start to worry that the bus could go careening off the side of the cliff - we will get the fiscal crisis that people have worried about for decades.

Brought on by political malpractice.

A reminder that the single largest fraudulent heist of American taxpayer funds occurred as a result of the Cares Act signed and administered by Trump in 2020.

Yet with $100s of billions to recover, Repubs covering it up by allowing SOL to expire on COVID fraud cases. thehill.com/opinion/cong...

Trump ousts at least 12 independent inspectors general in late-night purge
The dismissals appeared to violate federal law, which requires Congress to receive 30 days’ notice of any intent to fire a Senate-confirmed inspector general.

Trump has so far addressed two big sources of MAGA grievance: 1) the asylum seekers and refugees who come here to grow the economy and help pay for our entitlements, and 2) the government workers who not only assure that we receive those entitlements, but also those that protect and defend us.
