In April of 1996 I visited Dachau as a 16 year old kid. I left with a profound feeling of heaviness and heartache. There were no birds, no bugs no natural life of any kind. Weeds didn’t even grow. It was as if the evil perpetrated there seeped into the Earth itself. This cannot ever happen again.
