Il est toujours fatigué. he~they~il
He does not have the ability to take a concept and apply it to another area, and that's why the conflicting narration of his intelligence, and why (in combination with his emotional immaturity) he behaves in a way that is both smart and blindingly dumb.

Think of the kind of knowledge Musk has as a discrete set of chunks, and can put them together in particular ways, like assembling a puzzle where the puzzle pieces can only fit together in limited ways.
December 9, 2025 at 7:23 PM
Musk probably does know a lot, but he is incapable of breaking that knowledge down with analysis, so he cannot take what he has learned from one specific instance and apply it to another.
December 9, 2025 at 7:23 PM
To sprout a bunch of memorized facts in detail does not mean one can actually make use of that knowledge except in a particular and specific instance. But it is a good performance.
December 9, 2025 at 7:23 PM
Musk has a kind of intelligence that looks more like intelligence than is actually any kind of intelligence. As a simplification, he can memorize a bunch of facts and sprout that out at you, and I can't tell you how rampantly people mistake that for intelligence.

Musk himself can only appreciate people in the abstract, Trump can only relate to people as a transactional ATM. The most horrifying thing about the evolution of social technology is how humans are being ripped away from their own humanity.
December 9, 2025 at 7:23 PM
Musk, like Trump, is a construction of an idea created as much by the people who worship them as by themselves. Their social intelligence, such as it is, is about being able to feed other people's construction of who they are.

Now, I have a bit of a particular perspective because without getting into details, I was friends with one of these "PayPal mafia" type people, the movers and shakers of the tech world. And they kind of all have this particular extremely arrogant personality.

A thing I find frustrating about Mike and Peter (and much as I like them) is that they make the same kind of mistakes with journalists that journalists make with their subjects. There is an assumption that the author of the book just missed something, instead of it being purposefully left out.

Always keep in mind the least privileged transmasculine people, the ones who don't look like a man (but also not passing as a woman). Transmasculine people of color, immigrants, disabled etc..before you start sprouting off performative masculinity.
December 4, 2025 at 2:07 PM
The guilt that transmasculine people feel about being "included" is why as a coping mechanism, trans men will participate in the erasure of transmasculity, a thing that harms themselves, but not as much as less privileged transmascs.
December 4, 2025 at 2:07 PM
The coercion of transmasculine people into womanhood through the guise of "inclusion", is not inclusion, it is not a privilege, it is certainly not anything like male privilege. The guilt that you feel is how transphobia works.
December 4, 2025 at 2:07 PM
Transmasculine people often feel guilty about being "included" with the category of woman when trans women are excluded. Your instinct will be to apologize. You do not need to apologize for being coerced into de-transitioning.

Any "niceness" toward transmasculine people by people banning trans women is conversion therapy.

But that's not a category understandable to Netflix apparently, so it's dubbed in whatever language I was just watching something in (I think)
November 29, 2025 at 8:10 PM
It's interesting that Netflix will often play the autoplay previews on the browse page dubbed in French. My rule is, I want it in the original language whatever that is, and if I don't know that, then English subtitles. I almost always have subtitles on though.

It often feels like many of these surveys which are important, also are set up in a way to purposefully hide the particulars of my gendered experience, because it does not fit into a binary.
November 27, 2025 at 8:14 PM
Nonbinary people are assumed to be passing as their birth sex, and also afab. I am afab, but I don't look like a woman anymore, and I don't get gendered consistently on a daily basis.
November 27, 2025 at 8:14 PM
A part of the experience of being a trans person, is that people think they are doing you a solid by reenacting the ways that they were punished by gender. They will give you extra gender punishment for daring to step out of place.
November 27, 2025 at 8:14 PM
Those ways that people are abused by the patriarchy, which can also make a binary gendered trans person feel validated don't work on me.
