Possibly, but general computing is usually doing something at least nominally constructive. AI is sapping that same energy to obliterate lives so the rich can become even richer. We can’t avoid using natural resources, but the line between “ordinary use” and “evil fantasy empire” is thin.

Simple: I wasn’t good at anything else.

The reason they can be like this is they are convinced they will never have to give up power. They need to be resoundingly proved wrong in 2026. We did good this year. Let’s keep that momentum going, and crush these cockroaches at the polls.

And Robin Williams, that someone that funny could be in that amount of pain. I of course already knew pain and humor often go hand in hand, but it was hard to believe Williams could even slow down long enough to die.

I still have not one but two copies of The October Country in this format. True, I’ve moved on to largely hardbacks due to their durability and collectibility, but the format had a huge impact on me.

I think everybody has their one. Mine is Godard, which among film buff circles is apparently very controversial a choice. There’s just something cold and distant about his work that really puts me off.

Though it is largely fictionalized, I find that pretty appropriate for a movie about Shakespeare, given he “borrowed” from every historical source imaginable, like any great writer. The extended performance of the end of the actual play carried on a tad long, but that’s quite a minor gripe. 88/100

I predict this movie could make hundreds of dollars.
