Republicans may be spineless when it comes to Trump, but Democrats fold at the slightest bit of pressure, at the expense of the blue wave momentum from Tuesday. This, ladies and gentlemen, is why I am still an independent. I don't like the party of evil, but I don't like the party of wimps, either.

Trump can fire anyone he wants without consequence. He can disrupt funding to higher education without consequence. The Republicans in Congress lack spines, and the Supreme Court has given him a "get out of jail, free" card. We are not great, and every day just gets worse 🙁.

And now we know how he was going to rig the system ("find me more seats, Texas"), to be copied by other Republican states with no commitment to democracy, and with the pending death blow to the Voting Rights Act from the Supreme Court, just in time for mid-term elections. nypost.com/2025/02/20/u...
Trump predicts red wave in 2026: ‘Increase our margins by a lot’
“You know, in presidential races, they say when you win the presidency, usually the midterms don’t go well,” Trump said at an event with GOP governors in Washington. “I think we’re goin…

I owe Americans an apology. Even though I am an Independent, I have often voted Republican (pre-Trump). But Trumplicans have taught me how evil the Republican party can be. Our democracy is dying/dead. And Republicans who refuse to admit their party is responsible are a big reason why.

At what point does resistance become futile? In a sane, logical world, TACO would not exist. And yet, here he is. Making the world an awful place for everyone. Is there no stopping him?

Reminder: We are not at war with Venezuela. The people deported are not enemies. The law in question should not apply. Among the most dangerous aspects of the SCOTUS ruling is the idea that the president and his people have the right to arbitrarily determine who our enemies are.

They are snatching people off the street and sending them away to brutal prisons in foreign lands with zero due process - and they won't even bring them back when they realize a mistake was made.

That's frightening stuff for any American who actually loves their country.

The markets are collapsing.

Our soldiers are dying.

Our sensitive information is being leaked over text message and gmail.

Random people are being kidnapped and sent to foreign torture prisons.

If your plan is to keep your head down and hope it goes away, I can show you all of human history why it won’t work.

If it’s to capitulate and hope they ignore you, I can show you thousands of Trumpers who’ve already lost their jobs & savings.

Fighting back isn’t an option.

It’s the only option.

5 things Trump did this week:

1. Invited an MMA fighter fined for rape to the Oval Office

2. Waited on hold for Putin, then talked about hockey

3. Set up a fake classroom in the White House

4. Kept the Epstein files safe for another week

5. Left town to play more golf
