Let's say it again:

1) Harvard said "No," and Trump has backed off.

2) Chicago (and Illinois) said "No," and Trump has backed off.

It's day by day. But those who said "OK, sure," have gained nothing at all. Except shame.
(CNN) - President Donald Trump shelved his plans to target Chicago as the next city for his domestic crime push after advisers warned him that sending in troops .. could create legal headaches they want to avoid, sources familiar with the matter told CNN.

#OnThisDay in 1973 David Bowie "killed" Ziggy Stardust onstage at Hammersmith Odeon. Not really, like he often did, David was just switching things up, changing creative direction. More Bowie Lore in Episode 26 of RNRA.

Five years ago, on June 30, 2020, Illinois named John Prine the state's first Poet Laureate. It was a posthumous honor; John passed on April 7 of that year.
His last recorded song was "I Remember Everything." Like so much of his work, it's simple, poignant, and beautiful.

We didn't completely "get" Elvis until we saw this. In the early days of cable it was a staple: The Comeback Special, first aired on NBC in June of '68. For a long time it was unavailable on digital media, but it's out there now!
