BREAKING: I support a Millionaires’ Tax on income over $1 million a year.

The fairness of our tax system ranks 50th. Let’s make this historic change this session.

This is a separate proposal from the budget I announced today — revenue would not be realized until 2029.

It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

Interesting bill this session to reduce regulatory hurdles for modular housing. Tl;dr: we should allow certified inspectors in other states to certify modular homes built in factories in that state, instead of requiring them to pay a special WA inspector to travel there to inspect. Seems reasonable!
It's prefiling season in Olympia. Not much big housing stuff filed yet, but some interesting technical fixes are trickling in. These aren't THE solution to the housing crisis, but they're still worth pushing. HB 2151 is an interesting case study in how regulatory friction stacks up. #waleg 🧵 1/8

I’m a near-daily rider of Community Transit, Sound Transit. Today’s commute included a .8 mile walk to a 🚌 stop, then to Lynnwood City Center Station.

These photos depict a common experience for people. In my case, I can navigate around these despite the inconvenience.

Much needed!
An amendment on deck to Seattle's 2026 legislative agenda from Alexis Mercedes Rinck would prioritize the issue of condominium reform and updated elevator standards when it comes to potential housing reforms.
