Big Oil is using native advertising to "disguise their ads in news outlets" and promote "controversial technologies like carbon capture as climate solutions, portray fossil fuel companies as climate-friendly, or misrepresent their role in the energy transition" finds author @commscholar.bsky.social.
These ads are poisoning trust in media
‘Native advertising' allows fossil fuel companies to disguise their ads in news outlets. A new book argues the practice undermines journalistic credibility.

West Contra Costa teachers deserve a fair contract!

My family and I have been rallying with teachers every Friday for the past two months at Madera Elementary.

Negotiations have stalled and teachers on the verge of a strike. It was so heartening to see the biggest turnout of families yet today!

Don’t you ever forget this. Do not.

Another reason to boycott Starbucks. Minimum wage needs to be increased so people aren’t working poor. Starbucks doesn’t even pay minimum wage n make their workers rely on tips to earn more income. I always tip service workers well cuz I know they r made 2 rely on tips, which is not fair. #starbucks

Nats: scrap rebates. Shred clean car standards. Gas guzzlers cheaper, petrol costs, emissions & local polution all rocket.
