The NHS may indeed be inefficient — but it is not “bloated”. Rather, it is inefficient because it is run too lean.

1pm. Cheshire, UK. 53degN. -5C outside. The house is at 20C. The heatpump is using 1.7kW, of which 1.6kW is being provided by our 13 year old solar panels. Current cost to heat the house, 2p/hr.

What's weird about where we are with Brexit is that it is more clear than ever that it was a catastrophic idea, that NO ONE in the country believes that Starmer is going to "make Brexit work", yet there is still no constructive way to talk about a way out of the situation.
