Thanks for the response. I do agree personally, it's just that the government can only do as much as is democratically mandated and the public aren't prepared to be on a war footing for it yet.

But yeah I guess the report would help with that. I wouldn't want to be a government minister.

Government could do more. Hard, just as putting us on a Covid footing or war footing was hard. And hard to counteract the forces of harm. But vital to do so. And yes we citizens need to take responsibility - incl by pushing all our MPs to support the Climate & Nature Bill @zero-hour.bsky.social

Need to see more of this Gordon Brown impersonation.

Can definitely recommend this ITV docuseries. Some of the things The News Of The World got up to and how they were discovered are mind-blowing.

Millie Dowler and Sienna Miller stories in particular are hauntingly tragic.

Starmer didn't get nothing from the state visit— Trump's outward position on Ukraine changed radically after that.

It wouldn't be a surprise that the climate crisis has national security impacts along with everything else.

At some point the public need to take responsibility.

Also it's The Guardian which sensationalise everything.

It's not like the UK could do any more than they already are in response to any recommendations in the report though.

There's only so much we can do when our progress keeps getting knocked back by voting in right-wing governments destroying our economy.

Sounds like the government are having to make the best of a bad situation created by Trump. They don't control external forces and are getting the best deal that they can.

I imagine it's because that's not what they are being contracted to do. The main need for the government is for them not to be on the streets, and the government is desperate thanks to the previous Tory policies so all of the power is with the hotels.

Police called me back today within 24 hours as promised after I reported the dangerous dog online. They have gone to check out the house and to do a welfare check on the dog.

So don't feel that it is helpless. Report dangerous dogs!

Went past another huge one today staring me down. Unnerving.

Was nearly attacked by a big aggressive dog today which burst THROUGH a garden hedge but luckily attached to a lead.

Heart-in-mouth moment with small kids walking by as well. Reported to police.
