“Shock them into focus with clarity of intent” — Kae Tempest, cf Ian Rickson
There is something to be said for the senior years - the real “Fuck you” generation - the masks are dropped and nothing needs to be proved.

The site of seniors taking a stand outside Gloucester Cathedral yesterday in defence of youth being proscribed by the government is clear evidence of this.

There is something to be said for the vividness, the richness, the rawness of youth when every moment is a moment of discovery.

There is something to be said for middle age, where calm contemplation and consideration gives space for creative thinking.

I has the best night ever on Monday with the "Antifa Hooligans" themselves - Los Fastidios at my wonderful local pub in Stroud, the Prince Albert.

Just the best.

I've just watched Empire Strikes Back again for the first time in a very long time and I'm astonished at just how well made and satisfying a film it.

The production design, the art direction and oh my god the lighting direction is phenomenal.

What's wrong with this picture? Why are two of the most despicable figures in recent history - men that trigger visceral disgust in many people - placed directly behind @zackpolanski.bsky.social when the rest of the backdrop is fairly anodyne?

Dirty Tricks @bbcnewsnight.bsky.social?

I love this image from @parkrosepermaculture over on instagram, acknowledging the importance of the Portland Frogs to the anti-fascist movement.

I've just closed my Spotify account.

I object to the exploitation of artists and profiteering from drone warfare.

One day someone will write a book about all this. So many real, ordinary people taking a stand on the side of life.

One photo is all I need to share from yesterday's demo in London.

200,000 of us gathered from all across the country (including at least 50 people from Stroud) to challenge our Government's continued complicity in an ongoing genocide.

The name I have been given is of a 1 year old child called Jory and I am calling on our government and our local MP @simonforstroud.bsky.social to do everything they can to LET JORY LIVE

Just went on a 90s nostalgia trip watching Hackers - Jonny Lee Miller and Angelina Jolie chewing the scenery to a cracking prodigy, leftfield, massive attack & orbital soundtrack.

Turns out the First Assistant Director was a man I interviewed a couple of weeks ago for Good on Paper - Simon Hinkly

We took a stand today in Gloucester to day that refugees are welcome here.

350 of us gathered to protect the Gloucester Ibis hotel with our bodies from a Far Right protest.

Inside the hotel were refugees and asylum seekers fleeing from conflict. Not 'migrants', not 'illegals', just people.
