More and more organisations recognise the power of active travel to help their businesses, improve patient health, reduce inequalities and make the country a better place. I'm proud to have coordinated this effort to bring those voices together around #CWIS3 with @adamtranter.bsky.social

I cannot take any industry seriously if part of its case for its use is claiming that "little by little, people... are using these tools, but it's still not fully acceptable for them to say so."

Ditto anything claiming that its use will allow "a reduction in [book] prices of around 25%"

It’s high time that the Secretary of State model is abolished, I can’t remember the last time the role was carried out as it should (Wales voice in the cabinet).

Instead it’s always the UKGov’s voice in Wales, often enforcing political shithousery on Wales.

Scrap it.

Goodnight from Janet Rathbone, instinctively leaning in from the family car’s passenger window as if the darkness outside might shatter it at any moment. Goodnight from Freda Dix, rearranging knickknacks on her mantlepiece in hope of apotropaic alignment. Goodnight from Hookland.

I'm really pleased that the accusations against Farage are quite rightly not going away. He appears very, very rattled and deservedly so.

This is very long overdue.

🔴 Nigel Farage’s Reform is more reliant on super-rich backers than any major party in modern British political history

75% of *all* Reform donations *ever* have come from just three rich men

Is this what democracy looks like?

Spotify has laid off thousands in recent years, while reportedly paying artists $0.003 per stream.

Spotify profits rose 28% in Q3. Its CEO is worth $9.8 billion. It's making money off ICE recruitment ads.

Don't you think it's time put a wrap on corporate greed and exploitation?

I was a GP Practice manager when we were required to start doing" online consultations". In practice it meant replacing a morning of face to face or telephone appointments with answering emails. As a Patient Safety manager i think Email access is great but not a replacement for face to face.
Susanna Reid: The BMA says a recent survey found more than 40% of more than 1,300 GP practices had to reduce the number of face to face appointments because GPs are so busy dealing with online communication

Wes Streeting: The BMA are moaning minnies

I've died in Witcher 3 about 5 times now, because a specific key combo keeps triggering a copilot popup and then I die offscreen
I tried to login to Microsoft online to check something in my settings and it just plopped me into a copilot webpage. It took me like 30 seconds to figure out how to get out of it. Pathetic and useless.
"All of this falls apart if humans don't adopt the tech. This is why you've seen Meta cram its lame chatbots into WhatsApp and Instagram. This is why Notepad and Paint now have useless Copilot buttons on Windows. This is why Google Gemini wants to "help you" read and reply to your emails."
