Additionally, it's worrying that it takes someone like Heseltine to educate Badenoch and Starmer on how to defeat Reform.
You don't ape their language and policies - you impress upon people that the very foundation of Reform's existence is bullshit.

Starmer should be pushing this at every opportunity, not leaving it to a Tory grandee.

Lord Heseltine, "The number of people aged below 50 who think it was right for us to leave the European Union, is less than 20%

"The latest polls tells us 56% now believe it was mistake to leave the European Union"

Hands up if you are one of the 56% 🙋‍♂️

Yesterday, the Greens were celebrating 87,000 members.

Today, they have skyrocketed 93,000 members, making this most likely the fastest growth the party has ever seen before in terms of membership figures.

Data centers are receiving billions in state tax exemptions.

These centers, many owned by Big Tech giants, are driving up electric bills and sucking up huge amounts of water.

Israel calls us “human animals,” never understanding that our bond with animals is the deepest proof of our humanity, writes Hend Salama Abo Helow in an op-ed. Like all of us Palestinians in Gaza, our animals have been displaced, starved, bombed, & terrorized, yet we refuse to abandon each other.

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

Never thought I'd ever find myself agreeing with Heseltine

BBC have a strict editorial policy so, for example - refugees fleeing from war and seeking asylum can only ever be referred to as "migrants" and attacks on people protesting are "clashes." I expect this is true for genocide.

I've only ever heard the word "refugee" on BBC once in the last 10 years

I've been hopescrolling for the last 20 minutes, and now the most expensive coffee in the world is stone cold!

It's that @zackpolanski.bsky.social's
fault with all his great political broadcasts and speeches distracting me on blue/greensky!

So wonderful to see!

Every week another review of Police protesting powers. It's almost as if Starmer doesn't want people to be able to protest at all.

At least not about UK complicity in genocide & war crimes at any rate.

there's never been a point where we *didn't* have them saying "too many brown people". commonwealth folks had free movement until the early 60s. immigration acts which followed were largely about "how can we stop brown and black people coming here". spouse visa rules in 2012 were explicitly this too
"it was inevitable that too many people speaking polish brexitism would become outright too many brown people"

A Green government would proscribe the Israel Defense Forces as a terrorist organisation.

The forces currently actioning war crimes and genocide upon the people of Gaza on behalf of the Israeli government.

This must not be allowed to continue.

It would take the average UK earner 52 years’ worth of earnings to join the richest 10%.

Up from 38 years in 2006-08. Rich buy political influence.

Govts help the rich. Bottom 20% pay higher proportion of income in than the richest 20%.

Inequalities obstruct economic growth, fuel social unrest.
Lifetime of earnings not enough for UK workers to join wealthiest 10%, report says
Research finds it would take average worker saving all their earnings for 52 years to match wealth of richest 10th of society
