This year is teaching me the value and necessity of protecting my peace.
We don’t owe anyone our time.
We don’t have to take that call.
We don’t have to be around people who drain our energy.
We are allowed to say no.
2025 has been awful to all of us, so we need to be good to ourselves first.

Finished my first walking challenge of the year, albeit a bit behind schedule. Walked 500 miles in just under 5 months.
I know it’s silly, but these challenges really keep me motivated to watch my steps, walk consistently, and move every day.
Getting a little prize at the end is fun too 👌🏻

Every year, hundreds of migratory birds are injured while passing through our skyscrapers, like this scarlet tanager.
Some are alive and can be rehabed. Others are donated to science.
