Y'ahra's father (far left) is named Stinging Wolf, a Hellsguard chieftain and major figure of note among the clans of Abalathia, widely known for having slain a dragon that had rampaged out of control far from Coerthas.

My pie-in-the-sky wish for FF14 is that they add the still-missing parts of Coerthas back in and they still look green how they did pre-Calamity.
1.0 coerthas, by the way. your fav npcs lost this when the calamity struck. this was how their homeland looked for a majority of their lives.

I think of everything happening between ARR and the current time of 7.4 as being the better part of a decade. I think the twins should be in their mid-20s by now and when you account for the 5 years 1.0-ARR most of the Scions should be in their mid-late 30s.

The Encyclopaedia Eorzea books provide ages for NPCs: how do you "treat" this piece of info within your own wol's lore/timeline?
Are they canon? If so at which point in time? Or do you adjust them to your personal timeline? Or perhaps it's all the "1 year time bubble"?

"Oop, time to have a seizure" when the Echo hit was an established gag in the FFXIV fandom when I started playing, so I decided to lean into it and effectively give Y'ahra epilepsy. His Echo flashes knock him to the ground and frequently cause seizures.

I generally think of FFXIV as having lasted close to 10 years since ARR - that's roughly the same amount of time as has passed outside of game, minus 1 year from covid delay. Maybe I could be talked down to 7 or 8 but less than that feels insanely paced for the amount of stuff we've done.

Y'ahra was told by a seer that when his wandering is finally done he is one day destined to forge a kingdom from the mountain dwelling clans of Abalathia. He believes his adventures - his fighting and the politicking done along the way - will pave the way for him to become a great king.
