I branched out into a bunch of different authors I hadn’t read before and I am glad to have encountered so many diverse writing styles and methods of storytelling.
While I didn’t match 2024’s personal record of 46 books, I got awfully close in 2025 with 43 books read and exceeded my #GoodReads goal of 35 books. I discovered some of my absolute favorite books of all time this year, and for that, I am grateful.

The staff bathroom was out of order today and my coworkers were speculating why, so I likened it to Neelix’s cheese from “Learning Curve”.
Later in the day, I went to the other staff bathroom, and saw one of my coworkers had done this to the Out of Order one 🤣

#StarTrekVoyager season 7 ranks. There’s not a lot that hits top tier #StarTrek but it is consistently above average.

I finished my #StarTrekVoyager rewatch this morning. It feels bittersweet as it’s been a good comfort zone through a lot of life changes. I’m a bit embarrassed to say the rewatch started on October 3rd, 2022, which was 1062 days ago (a pace of one episode every six days). Definitely a slow burn.

I finally finished my #StarTrekVoyager season 6 rewatch.
Some reflections:
1. Fury and Unimatrix Zero are much better than they are given credit for.
2. There are a lot of ups and downs in the back half of the season, but it is more consistent than I thought.

Wow! #StarTrek #StrangeNewWorlds “Toward the Night” by James Swallow is one of my new favorite Trek books since the Kurtzman era shows started having tie-ins. It’s on the same level as Rogue Elements, Second Self, Dead Endless, and The Way to the Stars (all of which I found to be phenomenal).
I can’t believe my little puppy is 7 years old today. The amount of grey that’s appeared in your snoot in the last year makes me sad and it’s a reminder that you won’t be here forever. I hope to have at least another 7 years with you. You are the sweetest dog and a great big sister. Happy birthday 🐶

#StarTrekDiscovery is so incredibly important to me for reviving my #StarTrek fandom. I worked really hard in 2024 and was able to obtain a few special prop pieces from the show. The uniform fabric and the three circular logos for the Hiawatha, Discovery, and Shuttle Bay are all production-made.
