Loved the use of opera underscoring in an episode that was, thematically, an opera itself—centered on forbidden love and conflicts of duty. “Beta Test” felt very much like a modern TNG episode.

I really enjoyed both episodes of #StarTrek #StarfleetAcademy. “Kids These Days” had very natural character development beats for every character, some great humor, and awesome performances by the whole ensemble, with Hunter and Rosta being most notable (which is great for co-leads out the gate).

Harbaugh and Tomlin going the same year is wild. I don’t even follow football as closely as I used to but I am a Ravens fan and next year will definitely be different

This has been such a productive break, but also a restful one, filled with lots of toddler joy. I’m not ready to go back to the grind of work tomorrow. The weekly routine makes the days/weeks go by so fast and break was a good slow down. I wish I could find ways to slow down during the work week.

While I didn’t match 2024’s personal record of 46 books, I got awfully close in 2025 with 43 books read and exceeded my #GoodReads goal of 35 books. I discovered some of my absolute favorite books of all time this year, and for that, I am grateful.

It has become increasingly salient this holiday season after opening many of the twins’ presents, that the inclusion of USB-C cables in every electronic box, but no power supply block, is still an incredibly stupid choice. Why do I have 30+ cables and 3 power blocks? Buying separately is so dumb.

I didn’t really understand the hype around the Toniebox but the twins got one for Christmas and they are captivated by it. It’s a magical little box.

I know there are a bunch of people who wont watch Starfleet Academy because they've been repeatedly told its going to be a teen angst/drama show.
If people watch it and don't like it, ABSOLUTELY fair and no problem.
But a lot of creators are going to shit on it
