network engineer gone rogue obviously
@rogueneteng.bsky.social
My background is network engineering, but I'm a specialized generalist in most aspects of infrastructure and technology. Politics lean left (in some cases far left). Views my own. New England based.

Don't. Print. Lies. In. The. Newspapers.

The only thing we/you <know> is that the US military, at Trump &/or Hegseth's orders, just murdered more civilians on the high seas. We don't know it was "a suspected drug smuggling boat" & we have absolutely zero reason to believe anything they say anymore.
The latest U.S. strike on a suspected drug smuggling boat has killed two people in the Pacific, this one authorized by the Marine general who took command of military operations in Latin America and the Caribbean earlier in the day.

Remember her name: Aliya Rahman

Her testimony is everything and it deserves to be heard, by everyone. Decide for yourself.

It’s powerful. It’s gut-wrenching. And no one should have to survive what she did.

ICE MUST GO‼️

Again, no serious organization, politician, or journalist should join Substack in 2026.

I'll give grace to those who were on Substack in its early, pre-mask-off days and those who don't already have a platform, but the best time to leave the Nazi bar was yesterday and the second-best time is now.

“Organizing” doesn’t make you a king. Any protest movement has an incredibly broad spectrum of opinions and viewpoints. Your job isn’t to make people do things or not do things you do or don’t like.

No nominations for cabinet 2028 without experience in the Second Minneapolis Signal Regiment or the Brad Lander division of the New York Democrats

if I’m being honest, I’ve never really liked the “descendants of slave catchers” narrative about cops/ICE/etc., because even shaky historical analysis aside, it ignores relatively recent systemic issues with policing and makes it out to be some Darwinian origin story of “policus Americanus”

There are more of us, Poe.
And we have friends everywhere.

Never forget the MN lawmakers and federal lawmakers who tried to "explain away" the murders of two U.S. citizens. To a person, every single one of them must never again hold public office or a position of trust in any public institution.

NEW: The Atlantic reports Greg Bovino has been REMOVED from his role as Border Patrol “Commander at Large” and will return to his former job in El Centro, California, where he is expected to retire soon.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and “adviser” Corey Lewandowski are at risk of losing their jobs.

I prefer my FBI director to have at least a passing knowledge of the relevant laws
Kash Patel: "You cannot bring a firearm, loaded, with multiple magazines to any sort of protest that you want. It's that simple. You don't have a right to break the law." (Pretti was carrying a gun legally.)

Just remembered that a cabinet-level official tweeted out “ICE > MN” yesterday. Incredible how after all this the Trump administration still manages to perpetually shock us with the depths of its contempt for the people it purports to govern

They will waffle on anything and everything in order to protect the identity they have fully tied to this political problem. They would sacrifice the lives of their children if Donald Trump asked. They have no principles and no values aside from exercising authority.

If we can't agree that killing a citizen in cold blood who has committed no crime is bad, then the country is done. If we can't agree that deporting LPRs and separating children from family is bad, then there is no morality. If goverment can't responsibly steward life, they must go.
