My dad, at 73 years old, just ran his third half-marathon in 2:26. I don't think I've ever clocked better than a 15-minute mile, and that man never dropped below a 12:30. I'm so proud of him.

They've zip-tied children in the dead of night. They've shot priests. They've deported Americans and lied about having done it. So no, there is no rehabilitating ICE. When this is over, that agency needs to be gone. Blank slate. Anything less is complicity with its return.

First thing on my feed was a 9/11 memorial post. It's been 24 years. Kids who weren't alive to remember are having their own kids. We've killed so many people, ours and whatever as "theirs" are, and not a single damn person feels safer than they did back then. "Never forget" my ass. Let me forget.

Going through my late grandfather's coin collection (read: hoard), and this man was utterly committed to collecting bicentennial quarters. I don't think he expected them to have any special value, he just thought it was important that we had survived 200 years as a nation. Food for thought.
