from what I can recall there's no structural changes, just that the DC gives several scenes more time to breathe. the long scene with Bruno Ganz as Fassbender's diamond guy was when I realized "Oh hey I think I love this movie?" much truncated in the theatrical.

I don't know the details of how they'd plan to bilk you but it usually it's some kind of fakeout where they try to have you act as a middle person who's merely sending $ to a third party and then they cancel the payment they sent you and you're stuck with an overdraft.
