No they won't and they will consider to expend all their energy criticizing and shitting all over Dems.

Shostakovich did get to see "Jesus Christ, Superstar," though. He and Andrew Lloyd Webber were fanboying each other.

Yes but so was Chaplin himself so it seems like less of a surprising clash of times

Okay, what the hell, I have something to say.

The next leftist omnicause had goddamn well better be trans rights.

We are not going to the back of the line again. We are done with our concerns never, ever being the main thing.

We are done being told that something else is more important.

The "tell" was their willingness to let win a candidate who could only make things worse for the Palestinians.

Donald Trump met with Bibi Netanyahu today. Think he spent a nanosecond worrying about Gaza?

Only to confirm that he gets first dibs on beachfront property for a new, gaudy Trump resort.
danacorn.bsky.social
The whole last election, I was told over and over that the only thing that mattered was Gaza, and it was selfish to be unwilling to sacrifice my civil rights in order to “send a message” about that.

Not actually accomplish anything. Just “send a message.” By refusing to help stop fascism.

Enough.

The same people who said Joe Biden inviting trans children to hear his State of the Union was “just symbolic” and “not at all important”.

And constantly shit on the first trans member of Congress who once served on his staff.

Now every trans person is just scared all the time.

All of us. Every single goddamn one of us.

We don’t deserve this. And if you refused to vote for Harris, you helped make this happen.

ENOUGH.

That, or people would just straight up lie about Harris being somehow just as bad on trans issues, as a way of handwaving my fears so we could get back to talking about the REALLY important stuff.

Which is never us.

Enough.

We are done with your lip service. We are done with you lying about who is and isn’t going to harm us. And we are done being told we eternally have to wait in line. We are done with how we are always important enough for you to posture, but never important enough for you to actually help us.

Trans rights occupy this weird place on the left, where claiming to support them is a major ideological shibboleth, but you’re never required to actually prioritize us.

That isn’t enough. It never was. You have to actually help us.

And that means voting for democrats. And not complaining about it.

And when I say I demand that our rights be the next omnicause, let me be clear: you can’t treat it like you did the last one.

By which I mean, you can’t say “we need to punish the Democrats by not voting for them.”

For once, you have to punish the REPUBLICANS, the ones who are actually hurting us.

Kamala Harris was running on weed, abortions and HRT already, she just needed to tie all three things together along with saying "We can't be disinvesting in science, in our cutting edge economy right now, or in our woke green NATO military."

Build your own little omnicause.

Oh, I have nothing but contempt for the lazy idiots who refused to vote at all. What I’m talking about are people who, even after living through all of the stupidity of Trump January 6 decided to vote for him again “because egg prices“ or “Kamala is a woman” but are finally now having buyers remorse

Is the conclusion here that Kamala would be worse than Trump? Or is it that we should all stop voting? Or should we rebel against the government?

Kamala Harris was called a liar by the US media when she said Trump would set the army on the American people.

The people dunking on this like "former republicans haven't opposed trump, what are you talking about!!" are the same people who were like "ugh such a disaster that liz cheney endorsed kamala harris"
whstancil.bsky.social
One reason former Republicans have been better at opposing Trump than many progressives is because they correctly understand that the GOP’s descent into fascism represents a dramatic shift, and is therefore scarier, where the latter groups feel the need to argue it’s just a continuation of trend

If Andrew Cuomo or Micheal Bloomberg had been the nominee I would have seriously considered not casting my vote for a non democrat for the first time in my life in the name of keeping sexual predators out of my he White House.

It’s not Cheneys fault people where so easily seduced by Trump just lying and saying he can make everything cheaper and make America white again. Like Harris could have promised universal Healthcare and government hookers and the racism and xenophobia alone would have got to 270.

She endorsed the democratic nominee in public in person. Like if Malia Obama endorsed a Republican to stop someone like Tulsi had she become the Dem nominee. It’s actually a lot of sacrifice in the name of greater good, more than most of us loyal partisans will ever have to do.
