I've re-written the last chapter of "The Winter War" three times and I know I've been editing WAY too long because I'm rocking out and chair-dancing out to Stan Rogers like I'm at some sort of sea-shanty focused rave.
(I don't care what anyone says, though. "The Mary Ellen Carter" slaps.)

I started writing "Broken Dawn" sitting on the floor in the Arlanda airport in Stockholm (because Air Baltic thinks Stockholm is between Riga and everywhere) and I finally finished it 12 min ago, sitting on the floor of the Istanbul airport in Turkey, two years and 80000 words later.

I've been getting really into AI-assisted writing lately, and this is the AI assistance I'm talking about; my drunken unhinged fangirl AI assistant helps me avoid spending 6 hours learning EVERYTHING about making goat cheese in 15th c. Bukovina, and no words have been written.

The new book is at that annoying toddler-like stage where I'd really like to put it down and think about literally ANYTHING else for 48 hours, but I'm also pretty sure if I did that I would find it metaphorically drinking bleach under the sink.

My dreams of productivity have been dashed due to finger injury. I cut the stupid thing on my ID card as I badged in to work this morning. With the extra bonus of bleeding all over the entry floor and awkwardly biking-while-exsanguinating to first aid.
