the DOGE agency will not have the authority to reallocate funds (nor would that be constitutional), it is a PR tool to create the impression that government spending is inherently wasteful and build political momentum for spending cuts
Hypothetical. I'm curious what people think. If the DOGE agency worked on the premise that half of all savings in a federal program were distributed as increased benefits to qualified recipients, would you consider the details ?

My ground cherries and basil are finally starting to take off. I couldn't bring myself to toss out the spare beans, cucumbers and squash so they're going to be my first indoor grow of those.

1 week update the hydro homies are blasting past the soil boys. The beans in hydroponics seem to have been blasted by the sun early on, but have recovered. Also going to keep a few indoors since I've never grown beans or cucumbers under LED.

Better late than never I suppose. We'll see if they produce anything before the first frost.
