No MP should be earning £380,000 on top of their parliamentary salary.

Farage manages it because he's turned "politainment" into a viable career. Like his US counterparts he's discovered that being a disruptor can make you very wealthy indeed.

Hikes in state pension age (SPA) transfer wealth to the rich.

Life expectancy in Blackpool 73.1 yrs for men, 78.9 yrs for women.

Kensington and Chelsea - 83.4 yrs for men, 86.5 yrs for women.

Poor pay, but get pension for a short period. Rich get it for longer.

Great point here. Trump is creating a hostile environment for talent that leans liberal. We can't pay as well, but there are not school shootings and we aren't being run by anti science fascists.
We should be throwing up lab space in places like Cambridge and Tatton Park at a vast rate.

Biggest opportunity to recruit scientific talent since the 1930s.

A stark warning about BlackRock… they’re not here to help. They are here to seize control. That’s what they do.

With farm owners protesting today over the prospect of paying a highly discounted inheritence tax, I'm sure you've seen quotes about how they "feed the nation".

But nobody is talking about the migrant workers who actually pick the crops on horticulture farms, so here's a short thread about them.
