She huffed through her nostrils, bold and brazen. A very small voice inside her whispered that her attitude was going to get her killed. A voice she didn’t listen to. Lianna had never met a man she couldn’t sway. Slowly, emphasizing the words, her breath hitting his face with each syllable, “Take it then.”

He flinched, ever so slightly, eyes flickering to the side. It was just a moment, a quick movement of indecision, but she caught it.
