Sometimes, I worry that I did something wrong. I'd been working on myself when I met him; I know there was a lot wrong with me. And I know that when the layoff happened, I had to stop therapy, which meant I stopped working on myself.

But then stuff like this happens.

I'm so done.

In 2022, Dipshit and I leased a car with a loan. Said loan was supposed to be matured last year, but apparently, Dipshit had the final bill routed to a PO box in the city. He lives in Texas and was supposed to handle the loan. It was in both our names.

Beehemia started out as a dad joke nobody responded to, so shame has nothing to do with it. (Its characters are equally shameless.)

TNS started out as a plot bunny for a pair so rare I was the only one in the fandom writing it. Shame has something to do with it, but it's more about spite.

“Nothing seems fair right now, but then again, I have it so lucky compared to others.” Lucky? His situation seemed like it was the opposite of lucky. Living through a war, then living on the streets with no home. Finally finding a place, a house, only to potentially lose that too? I don’t know if his definition of lucky was different than mine, but… Which made me realize, well, shit, I’m lucky. For all the shit in my life, at least I have a house, food, all of that. And yet, I was actively pushing my luck, arguing with my uncle, practically egging him on to kick me out, thinking I could take it. But I had no idea what that was like. Not having a house, not knowing when my next meal was. Who knows if I could even survive that? I grabbed his hand and held it, squeezing it tightly. “You’re not going anywhere.” He gave a slight smile. “That’s a nice thought, but it’s not really realistic.” I hugged him. “Please. Don’t go anywhere.” He hugged me back. “I’ll… try.”
