Evening screening with @bafta.org for Frankenstein with the incredible @realgdt.bsky.social doing a Q&A after. Worked on a Frankenstein game based on Branagh’s film back in the early 90’s, so excited to see this vision from one of the greats.

Sad news today from Japan hearing Tomonobu Itakagi has passed away. Itakagi-san was a genuine character in the industry, creating some titles that will live forever. I spent a week with him in Shanghai when we were scouting outsourcing for Devil's Third. Wild and crazy guy. RIP

Any review giving #GhostofYotei less than a nine is about the weirdest flex or clickbait you’ll see. @eurogamer obviously have to differ from parent @IGN .. but its sad to see reviews that don’t appreciate such incredible work.

Have had an insane amount of fun and joy this past couple of weeks playing 20 odd games as part of @devgamm.bsky.social judging. The endless creativity of indie developers is frankly awe inspiring, absolutely no worries for me about the future of gaming. It's alive and well.

Oasis Mania in full flow . . . 30 years ago I was working for Philips Media Games. We signed this game and slapped the CL license on it as Philips had it being sponsors. We put Roll with It on the promo vid and had a party that Noel attended briefly. Saw him on a plane. He didn't recall.

Spring, some 32 years ago, I spent a few weeks post Microcosm doing a demo for Scavenger 4 - which would eventually be "Novastorm". Locked up in Century Buildings, Liverpool with about eight SGI's and Soft Image I put this together along with a pitch.

The last couple of days have been tiring and made me angry and made me very frustrated that serious qualified journalism has been replaced by hot takes by people who think because they play games and follow them they have a say. Worse, people follow them. Depressing.
