And essentially yelling at the TV. Sorry again.

Sorry, I know you know, I didn’t mean you. Ugh, it was more a cry of frustration.

Ice are not law enforcement, they are not police. They are civil enforcement officers with jurisdiction only over illegal immigrants.

She lived there and was driving home with her wife and dog from dropping off her kid at daycare. I don’t think she put her car sideways on purpose, as you say, that’s not a great plan. I wiped out twice that morning on the ice! Yes, I think she slid or spun out. (I live in Longfellow)

I live about 15 blocks from there. I’m quite aware that they are close.

I agree! It’s just that specific phrase is associated with a specific situation. And I think we should draw a bright line between this and that.

I’m certain Frey and Walz are communicating about the MN guard.

My daughter and I were talking about how professional MPD seems in contrast. The bar is in hell.

That’s why I mentioned it. When we know better we do better.

Biden didn’t say that, Trump did.

Please don’t use “say his name” in this context. That phrase is specifically used for black victims of police violence whose deaths are underreported. It’s overwhelmingly ironic to use it here for him. Though I do agree we should use his name now that we know it.

No death penalty in Minnesota.

This is how I felt on the first Saturday night of the uprising. One white unmarked van after another, full of white dudes with long guns driving up and down Franklin Ave. looking lost yet menacing. Thank god for the AIM patrols.

We tried and convicted Chauvin on state charges that Trump can’t pardon. We can charge this guy too.

At the least shut Minneapolis down.

A former colleague took his son to Spain.

We left town Wednesday morning, we looked up breaking news because so many state troopers were driving south on 35 with lights flashing. I’m having panic attacks just thinking about the helicopters.

She’s lying, for sure. But their car may have been stuck, there are snow banks, deep icy ruts, and it’s slippery as hell. I suspect Renee Good’s car might have slid sideways. We were heading out of town about when Renee was murdered and our sidewalk had about an inch of very slippery ice.
January 8, 2026 at 7:47 PM
It’s icy as hell here. She probably skidded or spun out.
January 8, 2026 at 7:21 PM
A. It was the morning. B. She had just dropped her kid at daycare! I guarantee the day care can tell you when. They lie and lie.

Minnesotans pay more in federal taxes than we receive. It’s time for a federal tax strike in Minnesota. We would be much better off.
January 8, 2026 at 6:54 PM
Me too.
January 8, 2026 at 6:50 PM
Thank you, that’s what I’ve been saying! It’s slippery as hell here! The way she was waving people by makes me think her car skidded or spun out! And she was being totally polite and waving the officers around so she could move.
