Finally got my car registered in California (it had Utah plates when I bought it), and the plates they gave me are a great representation of my experience dealing with the DMV.

Today’s costume disaster: an inventory error meant that we had one too few of these skirts. I didn’t make the originals so I had to reverse engineer it. It’s not a perfect match, but I think I did okay!

Ignore the spot where the stitching is messy, but this plus the other side took three entire hours. (I had to rip out the armpit seam and sew in the little triangle piece by hand.)

The bottom fin used to be all one piece :( I promise she doesn’t live in a plastic cup; I took the photo when I was acclimating her to the new tank.
