It'll be interesting to see them legislate the difference between abattoir and lab grown meat that doesn't boil down to naked protectionism.
I'd also still like to see the hard numbers on it "confusing consumers". Feels like an extremely flimsy premise to me.

Aye, but it's a bit of a jump from local speciality subtype protection to broad food shape protectionism. No-one's trying to argue that hamburgers can only come from Hamburg here.
