Morning. Bit of a grey day here though the Met forecast sun later so hopefully we can get a bit more solar electricity than yesterday. OH still suffering with the bug I've passed on to him but I'm now well over the worst of it and reaction to flu + pneumonia jabs. Phew. Must do some food shopping.

Life long Labour supporter but it serves this country ill to have such a pathetic Tory party. Brexit spread like a cancer ridding the party of decency, integrity and intelligence leaving a lying detritus. Maggie would be turning in the grave (assuming of course the stake doesn’t stop her)

Whereas, if we’d (where we = the developed world) installed filters/uv in all public spaces, and routinely masked in healthcare settings, not to mention continued to vaccinate everyone, the whole Covid thing might be pretty much behind us now
- and we’d have a lot fewer colds!

Morning. OH left at 5am for site meeting at Addenbrooke's. Hope he'll be ok as he's full of the bug. Still at least he'll be at hospital already if not! Been joined by 🐶 and one 😺 but Minnie has only just showed up. Had first cuppa. Feeling lots better but will give Zumba a miss. Chiropractor later.

I'm not sure I'm up to digging a temporary grave for any casualties any more. It's been hard enough work when I've tried burying one of my deceased chickens! Mind you at my age I'm more likely to be one of the casualties 😢

It comes to something when you actually see the likes of Heseltine and think now that's a proper Conservative. We knew where we were with these old style ones. Didn't agree with their politics but knew that they did have some honour and were doing what they thought was right for the country.

Nice try at giving me nightmares 😅 My first job included looking after our Council's War-time Plan (Cold War days) and I used to go on training exercises with the military and emergency services. Had the copies of Protect and Survive ready to dish out 😵‍💫 Thought we were way past that but .....
