Plenty of long-running comics (especially Jump stuff) announce they're in the finale and then just go on and on, and you're checking your watch through most of it. Chainsaw Man has this immediacy that doesn't quit and hasn't felt normal in forever.

Fujimoto somehow makes years and years of Chainsaw Man feel like you're reading the intro to the climax, with baited breath, like it's about to slide off a cliff into a disaster, without it ever seeming stretched out or dragging its feet.

Caught up on Chainsaw Man and it's good to know that even Tatsuki Fujimoto thinks the governor of California is a scum bag
