Yo great work and im glad you liked the game! I hope you enjoy the sequel even if I have some gripes with the switch port of it. (Still great!)

Same. Exactly this. Like the short doesn't really matter I mean they aren't gonna shoe the weird side in a random cute animation, and 4 does have some good weird/dark moments but it's definitely been toned down a lot over the years...as most Nintendo stuff has tbh

Oh it's definitely not it's just I've seen a bunch of people talk about the tone the series is heading cuz of the short and people are bringing up what ive always thought of how Pikmin 4 is kinda worrisome

Praying pikmin 5 goes back to its original formula now that pikmin has gained more attention. Too early to come to assumptions but I really wish it hadn't been 4 that took the series off. Will just have to wait and not think about it. Don't think that short was for a new game tho.

I think I liked Pikmin better when it was about very tiny middle aged salarymen exploring an empty, lonesome far-future earth and writing silently in little diaries, and humans were not acknowledged, but oh well; if that's what they want to do with it, sure. It's like totoro I guess
