Two American companies manufacture an emergency food product that can save starving children, even those who are days away from death by malnutrition. @hana-kiros.bsky.social spoke to those companies, who now have no way to get their product overseas www.theatlantic.com/health/archi...
‘In Three Months, Half of Them Will Be Dead’
Elon Musk promised to preserve lifesaving aid to foreign children. Then the Trump administration quietly canceled it.

The stupid coup's stupid energy policy--coal is just a dirty, expensive, moribund way to make electricity, and it's also some kind of symbolic Ye Mannehood of Olde stuff that the right gets all sentimental about, while screwing over actual coal miners.
At his coal promotion event at the White House, Trump just said he will use the major law firms he bullied into providing $150 million+ in free legal services to fight state and local government regulations on coal pollution.

The answer to this question is always YES.

Every extreme event today occurs over a background of changed conditions that dynamically affect temperature, rainfall, and more.

The real question is, “by how much did climate change make this event worse”? That’s the info attribution science provides.
Did climate change supercharge the 'once-in-a-lifetime' storm pummeling the central US?
A relentless storm is unleashing floods and tornadoes. Here's how a warmer atmosphere and a simmering Gulf of Mexico may be making it worse.
