Pessimist: The cup is half empty
Poet: in the cup the water takes / the shape of the cup / which I take into me / leaving an absence / which also takes the shape of cup / and which you, by not being / here, drink up
Pessimist: The cup is half empty
Literary fiction writer: The cup is depressed, is in the middle of a messy divorce, and hasn’t spoken to its father in years

Science Fiction Writer: The cup is a crystalline super computer and the liquid is hyperintelligent, they want to know why humanity should be allowed to exist, you have 30 minutes to respond and the answer must be danced by a cat
