It’s weird when non-Christians and evangelicals both read Matthew 24:1-2 As anti-temple / anti-Jewish. (The later group thinking it’s a positive thing.)

Because the temple that existed in Jesus’ day was literally the project of King Herod. A Roman puppet king and murderer.

Context is key.

One of my favorite weird but dumb games I ever designed was B.F.R. All players control the same robot. It was all hand drawn (- the robot) on my old iPad. I did not edit the grammar or text even a little. Figured it added to the charm. The entire game fit on one page (which should not be legal.)

Really want to find time to get back to designing this solo-ttrpg that is printed on a literal unfolding map.

Our ministry has distributed $139,216 of naloxone into our county in less than two years.

That is insane.

Nothing like a story about a simple man with an obsession with a monstrous oceanic beast. No metaphors, no allegories. Just a man and a whale.

Our youngest (who is very clearly neurodivergent) does this thing we have affectionately deemed “Jerichoing.” Which is where he, while going on long rants, paces around you.

He has made at least 10 laps this morning while talking to me about trains (I know…. It’s just too on the nose 😂)

Jordan Lee described my legs as “tree trunks” and to be be honest that provided enough serotonin to get me through the end of the year.

Mathew Fox describes Meister Eckhart as “waxing ecstatic” in the commentary he wrote on one of his sermons and I love that so much.

Jordan Lee just came into our bedroom crying after baking a cake. I thought something was wrong, but apparently it’s so good it brought her to tears.

Jordan wiping tears from her eyes: “It is the best cake I have ever had. I can’t wait for you to try it.”
