57yrs ago today the world lost a saint. Rest In Peace brother Merton.

“Peace demands the most heroic labor and the most difficult sacrifice. It demands greater heroism than war. It demands greater fidelity to the truth and a much more perfect purity of conscience.”

One of my favorite weird but dumb games I ever designed was B.F.R. All players control the same robot. It was all hand drawn (- the robot) on my old iPad. I did not edit the grammar or text even a little. Figured it added to the charm. The entire game fit on one page (which should not be legal.)

“What help is it to me that Mary is full of grace, if I am not also full of grace? And what help is it to me that the Father gives birth to his Son unless I too give birth to him?“

“Neither is new wine put into old wineskins; otherwise, the skins burst, and the wine is spilled, and the skins are ruined, but new wine is put into fresh wineskins, and so both are preserved.”

“The Cardinals warbled a joyful song. He'll make right what man made wrong. Bringing low the hills. That the valleys might be filled. Then “Child,” asked the birds, “Well, aren't they lovely words we sing?””

Facebook memories are great for somehow reminding me that I have changed entirely, and somehow not at all since my early 20’s.

(I’m pretty sure these were lyrics to a song I was working on at the time.)

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us,” [Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭1‬]

Past time I revisit this book of sermons from Meister Eckhart.

“All creatures are words of God… They all cry out to come back there where they have flowed out. Their whole life and being is a crying and a hurrying to be back again whence the came out. “
