That's a problem for tomorrow. Today's problem is sapping out as much shareholder value as possible until then.

I use bsky.jazco.dev/cleanup every couple weeks.

Mastodon gets the edge on Bluesky for this one, with a built-in setting to delete posts at a certain age. No extra service needed.

“This is a concerning development given the current state of the world, where authoritarian populism is on the rise…If it becomes easy to override Charter rights at the first instance, then the Charter will soon no longer be worth the paper that it’s written on.”
Parties or governments are willing to invoke the Notwithstanding Clause to override rights and to keep the courts from even weighing in on whether their laws would be constitutional or not. They’re not even trying anymore, writes @journodale.bsky.social.

Sites (like here on Bluesky) would literally have to manually review every single post before it's allowed to be posted to make sure it's not something that will get them sued into oblivion.

There are lots of other ways to address the very real harms that kids experience online:

✅ Strict privacy laws that make it illegal to harvest data and use it to recommend content

✅ Antitrust laws so we have real choices for where to go online

✅ Regulate features like autoplay & infinite scroll
