Update on this it was not a queen of a local species, it was a cicada killer wasp, which are known for being very unlikely to sting humans unless directly provoked.
Saw a queen yellow hornet the other day. She landed on the bush in front of me when I was on the porch. She sounded like a helicopter.
Usually I don't mind if I see a wasp fly by. I knew queens were bigger but the size made me so uncomfortable I just went inside. As thick as my thumb. 😨😨😨

I have no idea how much of a contributing factor it is, but I personally believe that at least some of why a lot of Americans are the way they are today is because their behavior doesn't get them ejected from retail establishments immediately.

I was at Best Buy the other day (out of necessity) and was really floored by how absolutely drowned in marketing for AI the place was. Normies are literally just living in a world where they're shown all the glitz and glamor of this "future tech" without being shown the consequences.
